Daniel Marin

Daniel Marin started in the automotive service industry in 1971, and purchased The Lube Factory Inc. in 1996, when it consisted of eight Lube Factory franchises.  From 1996 until November of 2004, Daniel was President of the company, developing marketing strategies, negotiating supply contracts, and providing hands-on assistance and training to new and existing franchisees.  In November of 2004, Daniel began handing over the day-to-day operations of the company to his eldest son, Thomas Marin, and in January of 2009 Daniel sold the company to his three children, Thomas, Julia and Jonathon.

Thomas Marin

President

Thomas Marin began his career at Oil Changers as an upper lube technician at the age of 16.  After working his way up to general manager of the Bank Street location, he went on to open two franchises of his own, both of which were subsequently sold as thriving enterprises. Since taking over the day-to-day operations of the company in late 2004, Thomas has developed a number of new franchises and has worked out of the Oil Changers Inc. head office, first as General Manager, and currently as President.  He is actively involved in all head office operations, including the development of new franchises. thomas@oilchangers.ca

Julia Marin

Vice-President

Julia Marin has worked at both store level and at head office, so she brings a unique perspective to marketing the Oil Changers chain, since she understands the needs of both customers and franchise owners.  She has organized several successful Grand Opening fundraisers and planned and implemented a number of successful marketing campaigns. Julia opened her own franchise in January 2008, and worked hands-on at her store until she sold it in March 2010. She currently works out of Oil Changers Head Office, handling day-to-day administration and marketing. julia@oilchangers.ca

Jonathon Marin

Vice-President

Jonathon Marin has worked in various capacities at Oil Changers, learning the business from the ground up. He assisted in the development of a new franchise in Christchurch, New Zealand, and has worked with individual franchisees to enhance their capabilities and levels of performance.  Jonathon currently works out of Oil Changers head office, assisting in the day-to-day operation of the company as well as scouting for new locations. jon@oilchangers.ca
